Who We Are

Black Cat Thinking is in fact me, Jane Valentine, supported when necessary by talented Associates.

I launched Black Cat Thinking in 2008. Prior to this I held senior roles in media and spent six years as a consultant specialising in innovation and engagement.

I’ve enjoyed working on projects for a variety of different business sectors. These include designing and delivering business change strategies; designing and training customer service initiatives; and developing and implementing brand identities and internal communications for business-wide change.

Clients I’ve been fortunate enough to work with include Allied Milling and Bakeries, Axstores (Sweden), BBC, Eurostar, HEINEKEN, John Lewis Partnership, Lloyds Banking Group, New Look, Pattonair, Primark, Thales, Waitrose, and Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc.

Why the brand name when it’s mostly me? My expertise lies in helping clients to develop and communicate an identity or initiative that people will truly engage with. So let’s face it, I of all people needed a brand identity that conveys the values and working style of Black Cat Thinking in a simple, visual and engaging way.
